Rachna's Note
January 2005
Dear Reader,
Happy New Year! 2005 has started in a whirlwind -
lots of activity and fun stuff flowing in.
As you think about the year ahead, I'd invite you to
set some resolutions for the New Year. To keep it
simple, consider picking one of the 10 I've written
about. Make the resolution you choose a focus for
this year, and watch your life improve in significant,
and meaningful, ways.
My resolution for this year is to follow #3 - I find
myself committing to too many things and losing
my place of joyful serenity. By staying focused on
this resolution, I've already avoided the usual
amount of stress, and am feeling better than ever.
I invite you to try out a resolution for yourself and
make January wonderful.
See you next month!
Warmly,
Rachna

10 Resolutions for the New Year

As we begin the new year, it's a good time to set
some resolutions for your life. Based on my work with
many different types of people, here are the top 10
personal resolutions you should consider for your own
happiness in the new year.
1) Resolve to break free of negative thought
patterns. Just because you've believed something for
years doesn't mean that it's necessarily true. And if
it's a negative belief, get rid of it. Fast.
2) Commit to making good choices. Only you can define
what is a good choice for you but, if nothing else, at
least make your choices from a place of passionate
commitment to your own health and well-being.
3) Promise yourself a balance between your mind,
body, and spirit. When you take the time and effort to
balance your mind, body, and spirit, you automatically
find a place of joyful serenity.
4) Agree to let yourself be known. Get more
comfortable with being a little vulnerable now and
then. We each have a tender side that can attract love
and friendship but we have to let this tender side
show now and then.
5) Tend to your best relationships diligently.
Sprinkle your closest relationships with more
understanding, sunshine, and joy. I like to think of
this as sprinkling happy dust on my closest
connections.
6) Freshen up your look. Try a new outfit, hairstyle,
or total look. This is a great time to tend to all the
little worries about your appearance which could be
taken care of with a little attention and focus. When
you feel you look your best, you are automatically
more confident.
7) Learn something new. Seek out new knowledge and
new ideas to keep your mind active and agile - keep
learning in order to grow.
8) Say no to self doubt. Keep your mind free of self
doubt, worry, or fear. You can achieve what you desire
or else you wouldn't want it in the first place.
9) Ask for help. Allow others to mentor, guide,
support and coach you to reach your goals. The journey
is better when it's shared.
10) Savor your accomplishments. What's the point of
continually achieving milestones if you never savor
the feeling of accomplishment? The more you enjoy your
journey, the more there will be to enjoy.
Try these 10 resolutions in your life to make 2005
your best year ever.
