Rachna's Note
March 2006
Dear Reader,
Happy March! It's fantastic to connect with you again, and I hope
this month has been going well for you so far.
Life here continues to go very well, and continues to be super
busy. I've almost forgotten what it's like to have nothing to do.
(Not, really, that I never had nothing to do, but the upswing in
business and life has been unprecedented.)
Anyway, so my new book is off for editing, and I'm really excited
to get it published. It turned out really well (if I do say so
myself!) and it's been a huge relief to finally get it done.
Wedding plans are in full swing, just about a month left before
the big day. Invitations have gone out, and we're preparing for
our first dance and getting the wedding favors together...things
like that. We've already started getting gifts, which is way
fun!!! (Like Christmas in March!)
I'm speaking at University of Maryland at the end of this month,
and have some great new publicity coming up in the months ahead.
After the next few weeks, I'm going to take most of April off
from any new projects. I want to enjoy all the festivities.
Ok- enough about me. This month's issue focuses on not holding
yourself back. Take big action in the direction of what you want-
that's the fastest way to attain success.
I hope you enjoy it, and see you next month!
:)
Rachna

Don't Hold Yourself Back

Lately, I've been in huge action. Huge action means I think of
something and I accomplish it, right there. This is a bit of a
shift for me, lately, as I've sometimes gotten stuck in analysis
paralysis. You know, where you keep thinking...and thinking...and
thinking... of the best way to approach a goal (but then you
don't really take action towards the goal..) Yes. You know what I
mean.
It's not unusual for people to get stuck in over-thinking,
over-planning, but just hardly doing. I see this in my business
and in my life.
Of course, we all want to make the best decision and to reap the
greatest rewards- all that is all perfectly understandable. The
problem comes when you spend so much time analyzing your options
that opportunities pass you by. You find yourself constantly a
day late, or dollars short, and life begins to feel worrisome and
frustrating and difficult.
When this happens, it's a good clue that you're thinking a lot,
and it may be that all this thinking is holding you back from
taking action. And, no matter what, at the end of the day, action
is what is required to reach your goals. You can have the best
laid plan on paper, but until you act on the plan, you won't know
if it will actually work.
Yet, many of us avoiding taking action until we're sure that we
won't fail, be wrong, or look silly. Unfortunately, there are few
guarantees. Ask yourself: If you let go of your fear of failure,
or of being wrong, or of looking silly, what more would you reach
for? What more would you achieve?
This month, my request is this: "don't hold yourself back." I
have seen, again, and again, how the Universe steps in to help
you once you've taken action towards a cherished goal. You'll be
assisted by synchronicity, and coincidence, and supported by a
growing sense of self reliance and confidence. You'll begin to
recognize (and remember) that the world is a friendly place and
that anything really can be yours.
If you have an important goal that you've been analyzing for too
long now, make March your month of action. Take at least three
big steps in the direction of what you want. Watch how the
Universe moves to meet you halfway.
